Vice President Membership

 

The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber is looking for a dynamic individual to lead our Membership team.  The Vice President-Membership is responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive sales, member services and member engagement/retention program for the Chamber.  The position partners with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders to develop and implement engagement strategies for existing and prospective investors.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Four-year degree from an academic institution; marketing, communications, public relations, or business degree preferred.   
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in sales management; chamber industry or other non-profit organization preferred.
  • Excellent project management, people management and leadership skills. Ability to set targets and manage sales team to meet organization needs.
  • Experience developing and implementing member engagement and budget plans.
  • Strong and consistent ability to prioritize activities and handle multiple responsibilities within a specific timeframe.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.   Position requires extended work hours.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and communications skills.  Professional demeanor.
  • Working knowledge of industry specific database/CRM software.
  • Demonstrated track record of building integrity driven key relationships within the community.

Director of Communications

 

The Director of Communications is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic communications plan, partnering with internal stakeholders to communicate the work of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, and the greater Oklahoma City region.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of communication strategies and tactics, including earned media, collateral development, online and social media.
  • Effective execution of a quality, highly focused social media, and content marketing strategy.
  • College degree in marketing, mass communications or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of experience in a related position.
  • History of good vendor management skills.
  • Experience and success in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Above average computer skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Must be a detailed self-starter with a proven track record of success under general supervision and be able to work within a defined organizational structure.
  • Must be able to travel independently.  Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.  High amount of mobility is necessary.  Extensive travel may be required.
  • This position requires ability to lift and carry 25-35 pounds as well as standing for extended periods of time during events.
