Below is a list of OCCE committees/task forces that are available for you to get more involved in OCCE.

Annual Conference & Awards
Conference Objective: To solicit bids, develop budget, plan, organize and promote the 2021 annual conference. Focus of the conference is to educate, build peer relationships, and identify critical issues facing chamber management.
Awards Objective: To identify and solicit nominations of qualified executives for the New Executive of the Year, Shelia Lee Executive of the Year, Outstanding Chamber Staff of the Year, Chamber Young Professional, and Hall of Fame awards. Identify awards that should be given on a annual basis. Work with conference planning committee to organize awards program, logistics, and presenters at the Awards Banquet at the Annual Conference.
Conference planning will begin in May 2021.

Chamber Management Institute (CMI)
Objective: To plan, promote and present a basic professional development program in one-day sessions for four consecutive months starting in August 2021 for chamber professionals taught by industry experts. Committee members will organize and assist with graduation at the annual conference.

Chamber Young Professionals
Objective: To engage chamber employees, under the age of 40, early in their careers by providing professional development, peer networking, coaching, mentoring, and career guidance.
- Hold a two (2) education/networking events in Tulsa and/or OKC with host chambers
- Hold CYP Happy Hour at annual conference
- Create mentoring program between seasoned professionals in all job duties and CYPs
- Solicit speaker proposals from CYPs for annual conference

Marketing & Communications
Objective: To provide members with quality educational information on events, professional development, personal development, and peer networking through OCCE’s newsletter, social media and the website.

Membership Recruitment & Retention
Objective: To identify non-member to increase membership revenue and retention of members.

Scholarship Committee
Objective: To financially help chamber executives and their staff with professional development by identifying, soliciting, and selecting executives to receive scholarships for the Institute for Organization Management (all sites), Chamber Management Institute, MAKO Conference, and OCCE Annual Conference.
